All models within this range have received full BBA (British Board of Agrément) approval and are certified under the designation 06/4385. Additionally, all fixed models of Brett Martin Flat Glass rooflights hold the Secured by Design accreditation, indicating enhanced security features.

Safety Requirements and Compliance

The Brett Martin Flat Glass rooflights meet the CWCT TN-67 non-fragility standards for class 1 roofs and achieve ACR[M]001 class B non-fragility when new and installed according to the Brett Martin Daylight Systems’ installation guidelines. While the rooflights are designed to be robust, walking on them should always be avoided as impacts from foot traffic or falls can cause damage, potentially leading to the need for replacement. All glass panels comply with BS EN12150, BS 14449, and BS 1279 standards, ensuring adherence to safety regulations.

The fixed versions of the Brett Martin Flat Glass units are securely mounted to a structural, insulated builder's upstand or a PVC kerb using self-drilling fixings, which are discreetly covered with color-matched caps. These fixed models also carry the Secured by Design accreditation, a recognition based on independent testing per PAS24 standards, emphasizing their resilience against forced entry.

BBA Certification

Brett Martin Flat Glass units are designed to maintain their functionality and integrity under normal industrial conditions for up to 20 years. They are warranted against perforation, significant loss of structural integrity, and distortion that compromises weather-tightness for a period of 10 years. The warranty coverage includes:

• Insulated Glass: Covered for 5 years, ensuring longevity and performance of the glass components used in the rooflight construction.
• Electrical Actuators (if present): Guaranteed for 1 year, with a design life of at least 10,000 cycles.
